About our School
It is my pleasure to welcome you to Belmont Elementary School for the 2008 - 2009 school year.  The staff joins me in saying we are happy to have you as a part of the Belmont family. We hope this will be a successful and satisfying year for everyone. As part of the district’s commitment to increasing academic achievement and strengthening our responsiveness to the needs of all students, I want to encourage each of you to be involved in our school. Close cooperation between the home and school is essential in providing your child with the best education possible.  Parental and community support are important in our efforts.  Public education is a large job, and a vital one. How well we educate our children will affect this district and Halifax County far into the future.
