When I click on the Microsoft Explorer icon, the dialer for NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL LINK does not automatically come up? How do I get it to do so?
A.
Click on the Telephone Icon and choose Open FreePPP Setup. Click on the gray triangle in the lower left corner and make sure that there is a check in the Allow applications to open connection box. If there is not a check in the box, put one in.

Every time the dialer comes up, it always brings up the dialer box. I do not want this to always appear.

Click on the Telephone Icon and choose Open FreePPP Setup. Click on the gray triangle in the lower left corner and make sure that there is not a check in the On connect, open FreePPP Setup application box. If there is a check in the box, remove it.

After my dialer has dialed in and the dialog box has come up, it gets to the point that it says that it is verifying username and password I get an error. The error states that it was unable to negotiate a reliable connection?
A.
First of all, check to make sure of the settings in the Control Panels. You may need to change the modem initialization string or the flow control settings.
